I have a '95 Civic Si and had a clutch noise only when letting up on the pedal. Actually, there was a very faint noise (not a squeak) and a you could feel it in the pedal as well. I also heard a very intermittant and sporadic metallic sound comming from the cluch area kind of link change gingling in your pocket. I ended up having my clutch repalced at the dealer and they found small pieces of chewed up metal in there. I saw one of the pieces and it was about .25" long by mabye .1" wide. Well, the fingers on the pressure plate were prettly beat up due to the loose metal flying around and so I guess when the fingers were pressed down by the bearing the gouges caused a clicking feel in the pedal as well as the associated noise. That was sometime ago and I kick myself in the butt for not asking the obvious question of where the metal was comming from. Well anyway I've put on over 50K since then and have had no problems... knock on wood.
