'03 V6 Accord Sedan / Replacing to after market Speakers
Hello, Thinking about replacing both front and rear speakers. First of all, is it easy to replace them?
second, do you guys think, I will be able to tell the difference after I replace them. (I am not TOO disappointed about the sound quality, but if I can make it better, of cause I am interested in, BUT... A little difference, I will stay with these factory speakers)
Third, Which brand do you guys recommend me....
Please help!

As far as it being easy, it depends on what you call easy. I do this professionally and on the 03 Civic, it's cake. Then again, that doesn't say anything about the Accord. As far as it making a difference, it absolutely will. It's like comparing black and white to color TV's.
I heard the new Infinity line is great. I havn't heard them myself, but supposedly they've done some massive upgrades to their already phenomenal speakers.

I have an Integra GS-R and I am Running All infinity Components (front speakers to be upgraded in warmer weather from factory). Some are one year old, others two but the sound is Great. I have (2) 2002 6.5" Kappa Components in the Rear with the Tweeters Flush Mounted just below the window. I also have two Infinity Kappa 10" Subs in the trunk in a Free-Air Configuration to produce Bass. They are powered by a Kappa 255A 5 Channel Amp. I don't have the Thump that some cars have but I do have what most don't, Clarity of sound. Once I put the new Kappa's in the Front of my car, The sound will be even better. (the crossover doesn't allow below 150hz to the front Factory Paper Cone speakers.
One other great thing about the Kappa's is that there are some Dealers on Ebay that have Incredible prices on Kappa stuff. search for Scala1on ebay (or go to www.ikesound.com)
BTW, the Head Unit Upgrade is VERY important in hondas. Especially if you want Bass. Crossovers in the head unit filter out bass on stock Honda Units. I'm running a Clarion DRX9575Rz Head Unit and My Girlfriend has a DB625MP in her 98 Civic. She has all Factory Speakers but the change in sound was Phenomenal just by replacing the Head Unit.

Hey GeishaStarr,
How did the install go? Did you replace the front speakers? Do they sound better? Did you also install any other equipment, like amps or subs? Tell us more! :-)
thanks,

Hi All,
I've already replaced my rear speaker with Crystal 6x9 from my old setup. Replacing the rear was pretty easy, you just need to first snap off the speaker grills, than using a socket wrench to unbolt all the fasteners.
Now does anyone have experience doing the front speakers?? I just bought some alpine spr on ebay, not sure what to do now. I know there must be a bunch of hidden places on the front interior door panel that you needs to be loosen, than probably have to pull the complete assembly off.
Well, if anyone has done this already, please inform the rest of us.

Hey all,
I am also puzzled as to how to install the front speakers. I actually have a coupe but it should be similar. I'm having trouble finding any places where the door panel comes off. thanx
