Look at the left-side picture on the second row.

It's an intake air scoop for the engine!

I don't know whether they took that inspiration from AHRA funny cars or conventional F1 car design.

Mugen was already offering that for some time ..
though it was more minimalist than that one ..

it really looks like an F1 intake though eheh :)

so now it's turn of S2k ..need an R version of the S2000 before they change the model of scrap it completly ..( let's hope not)

There's an inspiration:

Make a special version of carbon fiber hoods for FF Hondas with mounting points and cut-out for an air scoop.
