I spent some time looking over this car in the showroom today.
It does have some rather clever packaging.
There is a thin plastic sheet at the front just below the radiator. It slices cleanly into the air, separating the stream into upper and lower halves. The radiator is mounted at a 45degree slant to further maximize surface area. Sadly, I didn't see any clever management of air flow behind the radiator. The engine bay was very cramped.
The air scoops below each front headlamp hold another radiator, one on each side, probably for AC. I doubt they need this many for an oil cooler.
The center console looks cheap. That CD-sized chrome ring just doesn't make sense design-wise. Some of the black plastic surfaces are shiney, to my dismay.
The pedals are offset slightly away from center, probably as a packaging compromise. I felt that right away coming from my Prelude's dead-center pedal alignment.
The backseat felt OK in terms of support, but the space back there is very cramped. The center console at the back is way too high.
Is there an RX-7 coupe coming? I'll wait for that one instead, I hope with flat torque from 3000 rpm to 11000 rpm. Now wouldn't that give a new definition to "sewing machine sound"?
