Toyota has ruled the game for the last 10 years with their better hybrid system and Japanese always buy Toyota unless the the other brands offerings is way better!

Honda finally woke up and is how offering the best hybrids in the market!!!!!!

And it looks like to keep their customers,Toyota is pretty much making their new hybrids Honda like(looks and close copy of Honda's hybrid systems).

Yesterday...Toyota just released the MMC of the Toyota Sai Hybrid and it looks like the 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid!!!!

Undercuts the Accord price but can't come close to the Accord's mpg rating...22.4 km/l to 30.0 km/l

Yep Honda finally made three hybrid systems that KICK ASS!!!!!

Well here in the states the Toy name is synonymous with hybrid technology and GM and Ford have come out with systems that have better mpg numbers than Toy. But what do the sale numbers (the ultimate yard stick) show?.......Its not Toyota who has to prove something.

Honda has a good base with the Accord selling so strong,it will be interesting how many Hybrid trims Honda can sell. It will depend on the marketing. And the Fit hybrid has the ability to take it to the Prius C and surpass it, but it will take great marketing to break the Toyota hybrid mindset.

I'm not so sure we will even get the Fit Hybrid in the USA

It must be a Toyota - I fell asleep.

Rolled, so they're copying Honda's lock-up-locomotive drivetrain instead of their HSD? That would be a REAL marketing coup for Honda - if they knew how to bring a gun to a knife fight...

Well if we don't get the Fit Hybrid hopefully we will get a completely rethought Insight. But unless a new Insight gets much better mileage than the Fit it is pretty pointless other than reducing practicality. I'd love to see a return to an aluminum chassis like the Gen 1 or some other weight saving material.

Thats an interesting point. Honda really focused on engine friction reduction as their plan in the early 2000's and left behind the weight reduction approach until very recently. The motivation was the cost of materials. I'm glad to see this approach returned with the increased high strength steel content in the latest releases and under-vehicle aero aids. But I agree that the next step should be a novel approach. At the sales numbers they'd like to push a small hybrid, I don't think it will be aluminum which has some limitations.
