I noticed that there appears to be a small door in the center stack of the '13 Civic (right below climate controls) which conceals a small storage space.
Can anyone comment on the size and usefulness of it?

atomic, I sat in the 2013 today, and that cubby isn't very big. I opened it, and slid my hand in and it would probably fit something like two or three iPhones slid in long ways, stacked on top of each other.
That is probably all it is designed for, and it would work for hiding your phone or portable navi, wallet, etc.

Thanks for the report. The compartment sounds small, but if it can stash a mobile phone or GPS unit that's good enough for me.

I opened the cubby but due to being dark in there I couldn't tell the depth - but it certainly seems wide enough for a phone gone sideways. Hopefully they learned from the ILX - that area is pretty much useless.
