I guess Canada-spec EX-L won't get the fog-lamps (they photoshopped the fog lamp out from the photo). Curious about the trim levels & what features Honda Canada will offer on each trim.

That's a load of bullshit. Well, I guess they have to keep the costs down somehow.

that "would" be stupid...

it is more likely to use fog lights in Canada than the South of the US...

Really? I think the US needs them more than in Canada.
I've had fog lights on all my cars and I rarely use them in Toronto, Vancouver or Montreal. Out of the city I use high beams.
In the US where you dont have street lights like we do I've found that I always use my fog lights.

I would bet that supplier of the fog lights probably isn't anywhere near Alliston.

Or the fact that the Canadian Civic is built in Canada. Since our labour force is 20-30% more expensive that US, something gotta give to keep price low.

2012 doesn't have fog lights except on Si models. So it's really no different. Disappointing, yes, because all their competitors include it at the equivalent EX trim level.

The text in the link says upper models will get fog lights. To which i say phooey - they are next to useless items that only get broken by rocks which are spread over our (calgary) roads for six+ months of the year. And they can cost nearly $500 to replace in some Hondas. Nice cash cow for a useless items. I have put thicker 3m on mine so they prob wont break - but you can't use the fogs much then as heat build up will burn the 3m. Unless they are lexan/polycarbonate (accord?) - in which case no problem. Except they serve no purpose....as I have said before - cars should have rear fog lights, not front. I am thinking picture on Honda Canada sight is supposed to be an EX.

LOL of course they are useless. They are for looks, not purpose.

If you want useful fog lights, you need to replace the bulbs with 3000k HID's or install like 10 of them on the roof.
