Picked what up, TonyE?
|
Picked her up.... I can't edit.... I caught the error but I hoped it'd be obvious by the context.
At one point in our history, picking up your first date in a baby blue Cadillac was sort of cool.
|
Would this be the Seville you are speaking of?
|
Yes.
It was considered a "small" Cadillac then...
My friend's had the vinyl roof.
I kid you not.

Congratulation Andrew.
I wondered what happened to you, thought maybe AHM gave you some trouble for sharing "news".
Good to hear that was not the case and you are doing well or even better.
Keep us posted but put family first.

Good to hear from you and congratulations. It is great to find someone to share your life, especially if she shares your passion.
Hope to hear from you more in the future. In the meantime, enjoy yourself.

I plan on it, and with her help, I will live longer. She has brought me to a place with new technology for my diabetes that I thought I could never be at....Sensors that tell my insulin pump my sugar is getting to a dangerous level by sounding an alarm and the same if it gets too high.....I knew of this technology, but never thought I could live with it, but with her nurse hand forcing me and telling me she waited all her life for me and she doesn't want to lose me for something that is preventable......That convinced me to live longer for my kids and her.........I thought I managed it well, but now I have a better way........

I've always felt that my wife complements me in the sense that she reinforces the good part of me and helps remind me when I get nasty or becomes an asshole. As an example, I have always credit her for being the most responsible for me starting TOVA. Back in 1996, it was virtually unheard of for an asian, what more Malaysia to have a website. To think that TOVA will have an international audience was just pipe dreams at that time. When Jeff & Tuan approached me with the idea to start TOVA, I really had my doubts. When sharing my thoughts with my wife, she just said simply "you don't know if you don't try, there is nothing to lose, I FOR ONE BELIEVES IN AND SUPPORTS YOU". Yes, anyone would have said that, but that last sentence to come from the wife is especially effective.
I wish you forever happiness with your new found partner. To have found someone to complement you, to be a part of yourself, is something priceless in today's increasingly selfish society.

Glad to still see you around here Andrew! I was wondering, but thought it was just slow days at TOV (but it wasn't that slow) mated to busy days at your dealership.
Congratulations on having found your partner.

Remember, for women, the model year is always 12% off the calendar year.
Works for me... been married for 26++ years. ;-)
Mine is a Honda, of course. She's driving the Si today...

Bit late on this thread - congrats Andrew and best wishes for the future.
Lots of Accord interest here and everyone loves how it looks - just the sector is so dead in Canada (fleet sales notwithstanding) you wonder if this Accord will re-awaken it. Or if we'll go on selling underwhelming CRVs and Civics.
