A long time ago i came to the realization that bluetooth is pretty wortheless for file transfers and things of the like. When i learned the protocol found a nice home with voice transfer i thought to myself, "good for you bluetooth, good for you". A few days ago i was introduced to a bluetooth headset. While utter disgust in bt had me reluctant i tried the headset out with my iphone. I used the Plantronics M155 headset as my coworker told me i need to "experience my phone life handsfree". Hes the kind of ass hat that walks around with the thing in his ear 24/7. But i washed out the ear gel and stuffed it in my ear, the pairing, was super easy and the connection was very clear, and then it dawned on me that all phones should be made this way....hands free connection to the phone is amazing! The headset was also optimized for iOS which made it pairing and using a lot easier than other option from what i understand....so my question to you all, is do you use bluetooth headsets? I would love to hear the good, the bad and the ugly in regard to your experience with bt headsets...

Guess it depends on people, maybe it's a great gadget to have for those business guys I see on the movies that need to be permanently on the phone. Personally, we've come to a point where "calling & receiving calls" is the activity I use my phone less for, so carrying those headseats around (be them light & small or not) is a unnecessary pain. I do love though handsfree connection in the car, because:
1) I don't need to carry anything additional.
2) When I'm at the wheel I cannot be texting or writing e-mails, so I tend to use more the phone than otherwise.
3) I can share conversations with other people in the car.
4) It's a must-have (and over here legally mandatory) safety feature for those that actually want to pic-up their calls when driving.

I don't use the headsets, but use SYNC in my truck EVERYDAY and love it! I just bought a parrot handsfree set for my wifes accord

I've always hated carrying BT headsets. Its something extra to carry and cramps my ears.
The number one feature I use outside of calls is BT audio. I'll have a cue ready even before I get in the car. It pairs with my phone/player automatically and is one voice command from playing.

I use my vehicles bluetooth for calling 100% of the time. I also use them for streaming music. Streamed music is as good or better than most satellite stations.

Bluetooth headset/earphones: No. Not worth the hassle of carrying an additional piece of electronics to be worth using. It's not that hard to just pick up the phone when you're not doing anything. Though I can definitely see it being useful for people that are actually walking around and carrying/moving items all day.
In Car Handsfreelink+Music Streaming: Yes. Any call I get while driving goes through the car. For music, I either use the USB or bluetooth streaming. Though there is a small issue with making calls using the actual phone while in the car. My logic would be: Customer makes call with phone while in the car, phone should auto-forward call to handsfreelink. However, this isn't the case with my acura and 3 different phones I've used. Instead, after the call is made on the phone (because syncing contacts between the phone/car is a hassle and you don't always have all numbers sync'd), the call stays on the phone, and I need to look at my phone while switching from "phone" to "speaker" or "handsfreelink". I wish they'd figure that out.

I use the bluetooth function of my cell every single day for a number of purposes.

Only use it in the car and then actually have a call while driving 1 out of 10 times.
Anyone who drives with their phone glued to their hand and then to face is an asshat. Those people who drive a more modern car with BT installed and don't use it with their phone is an ass clown.

I use bluetooth.
My 2006 non-nav Si obviously doesn't have Bluetooth, so I bought one of these guys off eBay for $3:
And now I have streaming bluetooth audio. Use it every single day in the car, so I don't have to plug my phone in. Obviously it would be nicer if it was actually integrated into the car so that I can also scroll through my list and take calls and such... that will be for my next car (not willing to rip up the Si's dash for an aftermarket infotainment system).
I wouldn't use one of those bluetooth headsets though. I see a couple of people walking around with those things stuck in their ears (and they're clearly not busy businessmen), and it looks completely stupid.

The clip that holds the piece in my ear just broke, making the rig awkward. It's an easy fix, I just want to spend $20,000 for a new civic instead.
