Those are great numbers for a lot of models. From a business perspective Honda is doing very well at making products that have the greatest benefit to shareholders (first and foremost) and also consumers, however enthusiasts are still left wanting. I own a few shares of Honda stock, daily drivers for my wife and I, and an S2000 for my enthusiast side and I have mixed emotions about it all. One one hand I'm happy that the company is doing well and peddling quality products but on the other I can't help but think the products are becoming diluted.
Accord, Civic, CR-V, Ridgeline, TL, MDX, RDX, and even the TSX Sport Wagon are all big percentage winners. It will be interesting to see how they stack up in their respective segments if TSX69 posts comparo numbers.

I echo your comment above. I also own Honda stocks and an S2000 and am happy that they're doing well but am hoping they'll make a few sports cars in the near future.

and I'm happy that some people for a change see the difference between "great inspiring cars" and financial success.
Honda is a superb company, well run and stable, I think Honda will do great in the future when others start to stumble.
I however bought a Honda Scooter (75mph max speed) for commuting to work, it's great! ...but for a drivers car I keep the Audi S4, the 3.0 supercharged engine is butter smooth and stupidly fast and I love all the performance accessories you can spec the car with when you order it.
Next scooter will be a Honda again, that is for sure!

The two are not required to be mutually exclusive as Honda has well proven throughout most of its entire existence (present issues aside).
I get so tired of the "financial success" excuses for poor product as a justification for Honda's bad behavior. Consider that in such markets as mid-size sedan's, Honda has been losing market share since 2002. That clearly isn't good for long term financial success. Yes, there are more competitors, but there were at various times in the past as well. The difference was that the Accord/Camry were so far superior that they simply pushed everyone else out. That is no longer the case, and it is NOT solely because everyone else is building a "better" product. A fair component is that Honda/Toyota have lowered their quality standards enough to make it easier for everyone else to almost match them. Yes, that is also true of the new Accord in several places, even though it is overall better than its predecessor.
