Is anyone here having trouble with bluetooth Audio on their 2012 TSX?
Recently the audio system has begin producing a loud HISS along with the audio played from my iPhone. I am trying to figure out if I have a hardware problem that I need a dealer repair or if there is something I can do to remedy.
Even with no phones parired to my Acura, I get the HISS if I switch to Bluetooth audio mode.

Just a note that this HISS on bluetooth audio is a change. It just started one week ago after 6 months of ownership.

A crazy, left field thought . . .
You know how you can "hear" phone transmissions over a nearby speaker? Ever sit at your computer with your phone nearby and you can hear beeping and popping on the speakers as your phone transmits? I'm not talking about pairing the phone, rather ambient signals being picked up by the speakers.
Maybe, just maybe, there are applications running in the background on the phone causing the hiss . . . traffic app updating, pushes for email, etc...
Double tap the menu button and you'll see icons of recently used apps. These apps might still be running in the background. Press and hold one until they start "jiggling". Delete them all. This only deletes them from the list, not your phone.
A friend told me abut this. I kept noticing locator services being activated and a traffic app was still running on the back ground. This turned it off completely.
Also, make sure you unplug any unused power adapters/chargers, USB cords, etc...

You know it might be wireless interference because it does come and go. I can try to turn off the Bluetooth and WiFi radios on the phone as well via "airplane mode". For all I know it could be errant wifi networks interfering.
The dealer is checking it out tomorrow but since the problem is intermittent I am not sure what we can do.

The dealer has diagnosed my Bluetooth Audio HISS problem as a hands free link module failure. It will be repaired under warranty but would have been $650 out of warranty.
Now I am thinking maybe I should get the AcuraCare warranty extension . . . .
