As I mentioned before my work is about 90 feet higher in elevation than my house.

I hope my posts in this thread don’t bother you. I’m not seeking a discussion really, what I’m doing is basically documenting what an Insight can actually do despite the claims by those around here who dislike hybrids to begin with, that the Insight is a failure as a hybrid because it doesn’t deliver in its Fuel Efficiency promise.
Just as Notyper contends he should be able to complain about Honda not providing the type of cars he and other enthusiasts desire (which I completely understand and respect) I still believe that bashing the Insight for its MPG performance is a heavily biased proposition.
So, just as he and others have the right to say the Insight doesn’t deliver any meaningful gas savings, I’m here documenting the fact that the opposite can actually be true.

That is the reason I suggested you share your good experience with more people, hence the links above, so more people than you reach at TOV can see what mileage one can get from an Insight. You are the prime example of what Honda intended with the Insight, driver and car working together to extract the best mileage. The potential is there, you just have to learn to drive or cooperate with the technology at hand. Get the word out, maybe Honda honors you with a free ride one day.
