More reason to doubt Consumer Reports' evaluation, namely on problematic ride quality of Civic?

I wasn't able to test the handling and engine power (just one highish speed corner), but I thought the ride was pretty good and I don't think I've ever driven anything else that was better to be honest (but of course keep in mind that I have driven very limited cars, but that included some BMWs and Camrys).
Almost every other reviews other than those referring to CR I have read when the car first launch also praise the ride quality.

BTW, as always, I am using ASEAN version as reference (2.0) so there may be very big differences or none at all, i guess we will never know
