I have an 06 Si and I drive road course tracks. This vehicle has the HFP Suspension, slotted rotors and Carbotech brake pads. This vevicle is awesome on the road course track. What I want to do is mod the engine. I am on a limited budget of $1000. What I am asking is expert advise on the best bang for my bucks. This is my daily driver also. Thanks for your advise.

Forget the engine, lightweight wheels and summer performance tires will bring your times down better than engine mods.
Lightening that rotating mass will affect acceleration, braking, and possibly allow the suspension to react better.
Summer tires will help traction and grip, thus acceleration, braking, cornering, etc.

I already have Michelin Super Sport summer tires. They are great by the way.

Are you talking about a big improvement with lighter wheels or as part of multiple modifications?

There's so much stuff that's more effective than engine mods for improving track times. Dedicated track wheels/tires (8in + wide lightweight wheels, tires w/treadwear less than 100), camber plates (front), rear sway bar, good shocks, rear sway bar.
Any combination of those will offer much more significant improvement in track performance than engine mods.

What rear sway bar is recommended and would a front sway bar or front strut brace be helpful?

I'd get the Hondata FlashPro.
