Looks good, even in that bland color and small wheels. I like it much better than the current sedan.
I bet it would look really nice in black with 2" larger wheels or so and a better wheel design.

I agree. That's why I can't wait to see the sport, thought I'm likely to get another V6. If I end up with an Accord I plan swapping the wheels for sure.
To the other person, I don't see any Sonata in this design.

Its funny that Honda never showed the rear end of the car in the video at all.

It's amazing how instantly recognizable it is as a Honda Accord. From a distance the front end bears a lot of resemblance to the 6th gen.

Really?? When was the last time you had an eye check? :)

How does that look 'Sonata-ish'. Looks nothing like Sonata. Looks everything like a Honda Accord.

I don't think the front looks like a Sonata at all. It looks distinctly Honda, imo. While many here don't seem to like the Champagne Frost Pearl color, it will undoubtedly be very popular. Admit it, it's better than totally boring silver or gray which you see on 75% of the cars on the road. YAWN.

"It’s unclear what trim level or engine the sedan carries since shots of the rear were avoided, though the alloy rims and chrome accents suggest that it’s at least a mid-level Accord."
Um, MT, isn't that a base LX?

I wonder if those are true LEDs. Thye look especially warm in color temperature to me.

Just a 4 cyl - seems to have LED running lights still but just projectors - not the fancier twin projectors with LED surrounds that the touring gets. This is a very classy mature looking car, and new Mazda 6 possibly excepting, the most handsome car in its sector. Me thinks at the moment.

Conservatively handsome?? It should work with the older demographic, but how will it work with the younger crowd??

Looks like an Accord and that's a good thing.
Here's hoping it's a winner!

I think it will work well, like most Honda Accords, in that it won't look horriblly embarassingly "what are they thinking when they designed it" 20 years later.

I don't see a whole lot of resemblance to the Sonata. The greenhouse is far too upright for that, and the front is pure Honda.
Look at the hood lines. Whoever designed this had ties to the 7G USDM Accord team and/or the Euro Accord/1G TSX team. The family resemblance is pretty striking.
I remember reading that Honda alternates design teams, so the folks who developed the 5G and 7G Accord likely had a lot of influence over the styling and engineering of this vehicle.

I see hints of the previous gen Sonata (general profile and greenhouse), but little or nothing of the current version.
I'm anxious to see the Sport trims - especially the 4C manual.

I hadn't noticed it until someone else mentioned it, but there is something about last gen Sonata (after MME) that I can see very slight hints in as well. I'm not sure why though since the grills are shaped so different... but I do see it.

I don't see the Sonata either. The profile lines are more swoopy than previous, but that is about it.

For once Neal I think your way off with your opinion. I just don't see it. :)

Reminds me of the great CF4 Accord:

Has no resemblance to Sonata.
The accord looks pretty cool in the video.
I think its a timeless design overall. It will age very well.

This Sonata has a lot of design cues from the 7th generation Accord. The greenhouse is almost a direct copy as well as the side profile.
