I checked to see if Honda PR was going to be dumping a huge load of pics tomorrow but they said that they're not, and the media who implied that there would be a bunch of photos coming out tomorrow are simply mistaken.
There is a line-off event at Marysville tomorrow, which will have some media present. There may be a few photos that come out of that (but even that is unclear to me). I have been informed that the official huge set of PR photos is not going to be released tomorrow, though.
Have to admit that since so many people were looking forward to tomorrow, I was getting excited as well and thought I missed some PR that said they were releasing the info early.
I think people are anticipating tomorrow maybe for 110% confirmation of the demise of DWB suspension, and what the replacement will be.
All we have is Andrew saying there will not be DWB suspension, but no word on what it has been replaced with (many are speculating struts, but it isn't confirmed.)

Just saw a blurb on the morning news in Toledo, OH. A lot of Ohio sources seem to be "jumping the gun." They stated "unveil," not just "starting production."
On vacation this week and renting a 2013 Altima. This car is much improved over the previous gen. in almost every category. The new Accord had better be da' bomb!

Thats a sad statement. The new Altima just arrived, one would think the first couple of months of production would go the dealers for retail sales and not siphon some off to fleet.

We went to the National Car Rental pickup here in Albuquerque and I was surprised to see a brand new Altima in the full size pick up row. Since we had been renting the previous gen. Altimas, it seemed like a good time for a comparo. It has like a 650 mile range on a tank of gas.

What was your mpg? I have read on other forums, drivers getting 40mpgs on the hwy at 70mph.

Yup, it seems all much ado about nothing. They've got squat!! Two little videos is all! One of an LX (presumably) running around, and one video inside the plant.

I'm wondering the same thing. If there was a big event this afternoon, shouldn't we see some info posted by now? Or is it all still under embargo?

In the short clip there is a picture of an Ivory interior being assembled, looks like it has push button start...all of the cars on the assembly line appear to be EX (or EX-L) models...I'll be glad when the specs are released!
I believe the new Accord will have complete keyless entry like the new 9G Civic so this means a push button start is needed to complete the convenience of never having to take or touch the key to get in and drive the car.

If that is true, then the EX and Touring trims are sharing the same rims.
I thought it was too good to be true. Sept. 5 will be here before you know it. I'm sure more images will filter out before then. The brief assembly line video is cool, though. The car looks good. Very classic Accord from the front. Side note, I don't really see any difference between Basque Red Pearl colors I and II. They should have offered San Marino Red on the Touring model of the sedan.

New mid size sedans FE keep improving, new Altima at 38 HWY and others at 37mpg. New 2013 Fusion with I4 EcoBoost, however is projected only 23/33 mpg. Below the old Accord?? New Accord should be at least 37 or possibly 39 mpg HWY.

The more I think about it, this might be a watershed generation, particularly if the quality is there!! (My benchmark has always been the 4th-Gen--my Dad's 1991 Hampshire Green Pearl EX Sedan made me a better driver--nice shades of green FTW!!! 8-D ) Yes, MacStruts or no! If Honda comes up with a compact, non-strut design which gives 9/10s, it should be a good handler with enough emergency capability for Mr. & Mrs. Joe/Jane-Texting-Distracted-Sixpack! (Or even if they can "Honda-ize" a strut!)
All that said, where is the spec list of the Touring, dammit??!! 8-O

I thought the 23/33 numbers were for the base 2.5, NOT the new 1.6, I think its supposed to get around 37 mpg on the highway.
