The automaker finally commercializes its vaunted robotics know-how for home use. The Miimo will start munching grass in Europe early next year.

As cool and ideal as this is, $2500 will also get you a full service lawn and snow removal for many many years.
and yet, why do I want one so bad?
I want to replace my Honda lawnmower and Honda snowblower with an automated Honda robot that does it all for me.
wierd, the cars dont appeal to me anymore but the other products do.

I have been pondering a winter version of this for some time - though people who I talk to about it think I am mad. Which i am. Basically imagine this Miimo with an onboard de-icer canister, a snow sensor and driveway boundary markers. soon as snow falls - out it trundles from its charging/refilling kennel. I had even dreamed up the alarm system should someone pick it up and try to steal it.....Could have called it the Esk-Miimo. Just the thing for the great white north.

Japanese have had it on the marked for years, no sense for Honda to spend money on that, maybe the money is better spent on the new Type "R". Maybe it will be so exhilirating to drive you need one built into the drivers seat?
