Hmm.. we need a 4th car... soon... this may be the ticket...
The more I think about this car, the more it reminds me of our old second gen CR-X Si. It was my wife's first "new" car. I got it for her B-day back in 89. We loved it.

Do it! You won't regret it. Get an EX for HIDs and bluetooth and then come visit us at crzforum.com. Heck come visit anyway, much better discussion there.
|
If we get a CR-Z it will be the EX MT6 with NAVI. I don't think my wife likes the CVT. Bluetooth will be a nice bonus.. and the HIDs will be cool. I've had them in our past Acuras and I miss how their "flash to pass" is so "quick" and how bright and sharp their illumination is.
I guess that IMA does provide what the CRX Si lacked: torque deep down low.
So it will either be a Fit or a CR-Z the way things look like now... but it may be late in the fall or even winter before my wife can get a car... This fall is going to be a bitch ad my son takes the Fit to school and my daughter starts to drive.
Problem is that we can't get any until HMC is back up to production and shipping cars. Associates can't get any cars... my wife is an associate.

What is "flash to pass"? I remember seeing this feature listed in an RL brochure years ago but never knew what it was.

When you pull and hold the spring loaded turn signal control stalk (left) the high beams come on.
You do that to wake up someone who's too slow ahead of you or whenever you want to get the attention of someone who's facing your front end, as in when you pass a car you want them to know that you are passing them. Conversely, if you're on a highway and someone coming the other ways starts passing you might want to flash your lights if they are cutting it too close.
Mostly this is all about 2 lane highways. If you drive on freeways or multi lane highways then the only time you "flash" is to wake up some slow poke in the left lane so they can get out of the way.

Ok thanks. I'm very familiar with this feature but never heard it referred to as that. All cars have it I thought. Acura listed it in the feature list(most if any auto brochures don't list the feature, Honda included) so I thought it was something special or exclusive. I guess being the flagship, they had to make it sound special for people clueless about the name such as myself.

Over here, if you flash, the car you are trying to pass will try to outpass you.
So we just do it the stealth way. :\
