Now you know why they chose the angles they did for the new pics.

They're similar, no doubt.
But not identical as many people on autoblog have been complaining, lol.
Every panel seems to have been changed.
The only thing that stays the same for me seems to be the greenhouses...the 9th gen seems to have a flatter beltline, but that could be the camera angle.

Well, these pics really suck to me. I'm waiting for more pics. But otherwise the car design is a lot better.

Good comparison. This really does help to illustrate that the new sheetmetal on the 2013 Accord is much nicer looking than the 2012 Accord.

In fact, perhaps Honda PR should consider releasing side-by-side new vs. prior gen photos in the future so that people can truly appreciate the differences from one generation to another (rather than having people bicker about Honda vs. Hyundai, etc).

Wow, thanks for posting the pictures, FiSH-Chan. It really made it abundantly clear that the 2013's are more sophisticated in every way. Now I wonder how sales of the leftover 2012 Accords will do with these pictures out in the open. Personally, even if there's a $3000 discount on the 2012's, I'll opt for the 2013's.

Can't wait to see the interior details and pictures (although we all pretty much saw it in the spy pics) to reveal what luxury upgrades the Touring model will sport...

Exciting times... oh yeah...

I think this also shows how odd and tacked on aero work Honda did front and rear(for fuel economy?) on the 2008 sedan and coupe mid model change was. The coupe was a nice clean design before the mmc gave it tumors.

The 2013 uses the very same sculpting of flared and squared off corners to much better effect.

Thanks for the pics. I can't wait for profile shots and to see them in three dimensions.

But to me the 2013 jumps off the page as modern and exciting while the 2012 is just kind of there. Also looking forward to seeing all the trims and different colors.

Great comparison post. Really helps differentiate the two generations. The coupe looks to have gotten the biggest changes. It really is stunning now. Love the new front and rear. It bugs the crap out of me when I hear people say no one will be able to tell the difference. Open your damn eyes. It's an evolution, but you can't say both body styles look MUCH better.
