Just thought I should have added a picture (well, a link to a picture, anyway) of this fine car. Shame they were never exported to the US...

1986 Accord DX, bare bones, warped brake rotors and 3 speed automatic and all, it was heaven after having a Vega and a Hornet through college...ran for 160k miles...now a 2012 Odyssey and still one happy Honda owner after all these years, not a performance enthusiast but a Honda enthusiast none the less, but nothing else drives as good as a Honda to me at its price points

Great car. At the time, you could not find the interior/exterior feel of the car at that prize range.
Afterwards bought:
1994 Honda Accord
2002 Honda Odyssey
2006 Honda Civic Hybrid

2nd gen MMC Accord.
Mine looks a bit like this:
Minus the sunroof and those horrible hood mounted mirrors (mine was on the door, like all normal cars).
..actually I just found a much closer match
It looks almost like in every way with lightweight rims, except the oclor it is more gold.

Red 1986 Honda CRX DX (manual). Sold at 60,000 miles (absolutely no problems) to buy a 2nd gen '88.
Have also owned four 2nd gen CRX's. Put 371,000 miles on a red '88 CRX DX (manual) over the 12-1/2 years I owned it (original owner) before selling it, still running, still the original engine and transmission. Replaced the seats twice. The car often returned 47mpg on the highway. Once drove from Cincinnati, OH to just north of Columbia, SC on one tank of gas (10.6 gallons/500 miles).

1980 Accord EX Hatch 5 speed Silver RHD
We have an identical (near mint) vehicle (except LHD) now in our showroom for promotional purposes. Nothing went wrong with mine at all - but was a bit rusty for just a 9 year old car when it sold. Got a Peugeot 405 after - stylish car...not so reliable. Least it had power steering and air conditioning (climate control actually!).
