Haven't heard much "Sport" model... Is this only going to be the "look" and not the "feel"? Is this finally the "Accord Si" or no?

It's situated between the LX and EX, with the ED four-banger or (I would assume) the CVT.

Here's some particulars:

LX includes:

• Rearview camera
• 8 in. i-MID TFT screen
• Pandora
• SMS text messaging capability
• 16 in alloy wheels
• Body color door mirrors
• Chrome door handles
• Bluetooth HandsFreeLink
• USB
• Dual Zone Auto AC
• Auto on/off headlights
• Security Alarm

NEW Sport adds:

• 18 in Alloy Wheels
• 8-way power seat
• Fog Lights
• Dual Exhaust
• Decklid Spoiler
• Paddle Shifters

The suspension may be tightened a bit as well, but I could be wrong. I wouldn't count this as an "Si," in the 'Lude sense, but who knows? Of course Honda isn't talking any more, and Jeff, Andrew (HONDA AFVM), et. al. are sworn to secrecy.

I meant the four-pot with the 6-speed stick OR the CVT--my bad.

No V6 on this one.

As Shawn Church (notyper) has mentioned, it's too bad that the Honda tuning houses like Hondata haven't tackled the V6, since the K24s have the integrated manifold in the block, so there's no way to do anything with headers, etc. The J-series V6, from what I've read on this site, I think, has all sorts of potential.

LOL all the honda V6s now integrated exhaust manifolds too, in fact the V6 got them before the I4.

I stand corrected on the physical mods.

I wonder how a decklid spoiler would look on the coupe.
It already looks like it has one.

I'm very interested in the Sport model, but does anyone else wish you could get one without the spoiler?

I sure hope it's tastefully done, because at 36 years old I'm just not that keen on driving a car with a spoiler on it. Especially when the rear of the car has a classy design, like I feel this new Accord Sedan does.

Think more "look" and maybe some "feel". Half of Camry's produced are SE's. Their customers (including my wife) like the "sporty" look. Smart of Honda to do the same. Accords have handled well without the sporty overtones, now we have a trim to match the handling.

It's a decklid spoiler not a wing

Looks like it. I think the Sport should be a trim level between the EX and EX-L.

Cloth/Leather upholstery, sunroof, 18 inch alloys, HondaLink with the choice of a 6spd manual or CVT. I'd be ALL OVER a sport model if that were the case...sadly its not. Leave all the lane departure, and other stuff to the EX-L.

Since Andrew is a Honda salesman and Jeff has media credentials with Honda, they may be bound by some non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), depending on if they have been to any events (ride/drive press previews, for instance), which could cause problems with Andrew's dealer principals (who could make his life difficult I'm sure, or Honda could make things diffcult for the dealer itself) or, in Jeff's case, could cause Honda to revoke his media privileges, at least.

I thought I've even read that some NDAs allow the manufacturer to seek damages in court, though I would hope Honda wouldn't go that far since the car is out there for the most part.

Jeff, Andrew, am I correct here?

I can get away with saying just about anything and not get hammered, Jeff has a reputation and a web sight. What I say on here, Honda can't do anything. I only am loyal to my source.......but Jeff has a contract or some sort of value that he will not post what he knows, but that doesn't mean I can't post what I know.

I will only post what a source says, "go ahead and post it on TOV" And at times, my source gives me information that isn't always accurate, whether that is done on purpose or not, that remains to be seen........
