Jeff, can't wait to hear the r/d impressions after the embargo is lifted, presumably Sept. 5th?

Best of all, they kept to their styling course and didn't head off down some Batmobile tangent. And this car pulls back a bit from the visual growth of the 8th gen. Well done.

Really?

This is a pretty lame attempt. The coupe looks worse than the 8th gen somehow...that back bumper has to be a joke.

I like the coupes back bumper.... :-) and far less bulbous and oversized than the current gen - it's worse feature.

You are absolutely right!!! The rear bumper is just fine to me too. The whole styling on both coupe and sedan are much more cleaned up versions of the 8th generation. No way in hell anyway can honestly believe this coupe looks weirder than the 8th gen. coupe with it's overly bulging tail lights and massive ass. The current coupe also has that stupid misaligned hood.

I remember when the 8th generation coupe debated, some complained the rear end was too bland and had too much real estate between the tail lights (the flaws you just mentioned) - they felt Honda didn't make any real effort. Now that Honda has injected some sporty elements into the rear design, some complain it's over-styled. You can't win!

Based on the coupe concept I saw at the NY auto show this does look better than the cureent coupe but I am not a fan of that rear bumper with those weird reflectors and chrome strip. The rest is a strong improvement.

To my eyes, the sedan looks like a previous-gen Hyundai Sonata. The coupe looks like the Kia Forte. I sure hope they look better in person.

Last gen Sonata= 6th and 7th gen Accord
Kia forte= Civic
New Accord = Accord (except the taillights)

See my point?
