1) Prelude... built on the Euro/Jap Accord platform, front wheel drive with the new 4ws from the RLX. 3.5L DI V6 with 6 speed manual only.
2)S2000 Replacement... front mid-engine rear drive platform just like the original. But with a new 3L DI 120 degree V6 with the 6 speed manual in the rear.... very balance weight 50/50 and very low center of gravity.
That engine Honda can also use in the NSX but in 3.7L.
3) CLX... built on the Prelude platform but with it's own styling.
3.5L DI V6 with the 7 speed dual-clutch trans and the three motor hybrid Awd.

1. The new gen Accord may bring 4ws to the plate. Who knows.
2. If Honda makes it RWD Sedan with the same features, they will sell more units, and do it profitably.
3. Why CLX? Just call it the TSX and build upon the brand name.

1. So basically an Accord Coupe with 4WS. Why bring back the Prelude name?
2. You're being awfully specific about the V angle of the engine. Why?
3. I'd rather Acura have an RWD coupe instead of another FWD offering.

Because people who owned a Prelude wants it back.
That V angle because it's very balance and it has a very low center of gravity for better handling.

Agree, before the thread even opened on my monitor my response was

Why would buy any Prelude or want Honda to make it? You can get a RWD Mustang V6 for more or less the same price.

I'd personally like to see an FR-S comparisons but I'm fairly sure that won't happen at least anytime soon. What is completely possible right now is Honda adding some "substance" to their vehicles. By that I mean that meaty, weighty, "Germanic" feel that say... VW's have. Those weighty doors and the like really go a long way in terms of perceived quality as many Hondas are quite "tinny" by comparison. If Honda could do that without a serious weight penalty it would be welcomed.

While door moldings and door handles are falling off of crappy old VW's and undercoating is flowing out the bottom of their door's as electrical systems are shorting out and switches are failing,
I'll take the "tinny" sounding doors of the old reliable Honda's over VW any day!
