Chinese website Xcar has published two pictures of what seems to be the 2013 Lexus LS.
Someone tell Lexus not to call it an All New model.

Looks photo-shopped. I hope these are not real pics...

Motor Trend is also reporting on it:
"Is this the real thing? It certainly looks like the prototypes we caught undergoing validation testing earlier this year. Lexus officials all but confirmed the authenticity of the shots Thursday morning, asking us if we were inquiring about the “LS photos that leaked.” All signs suggest this is the 2013 LS F Sport, but even so, Lexus won’t release any more information or photos until the official debut."

Lexus has released an official picture of this LS F on FB.
Lexus is also not touting an "all-new" speak in their literature so this is increasingly seem like a 2nd refresh:
" Lexus will hold the World Premiere of the new Lexus LS flagship sedan at a special invitation-only event in San Francisco on Monday, July 30.
The 2013 LS will be available as the LS 460, LS 460 L long wheelbase, LS 600h L hybrid sedan and the all-new LS 460 F SPORT. "

Lexus is also only using the "all-new" attribute in their literature for the LS F model (because it didn't exist before) so this is increasingly seem like a refresh:

It's an MMC. Nothing too big. But I personally love the new face and small tweaks to the rear. The interior will also be totally new (think new GS). Pretty standard Lexus, but now with an F Sport model. Good move.

All these Lexuses are starting to look the same to me. The new ES and GS look like twins.

I always loved the GS because it was kind of different from the rest. You are right, this time around they look very similar in fact I really like the ES this time around.

Tell that to Audi and BMW.

Adding another Lexus model as recipient of the super-awful Horse-Collar grille surround reminds me of Acura's adoption of the power plenum grille, which really blew up in their face with the TL redesign, forcing the MMC styling tweaks!

Get it, Lexus.

Speaking of Lexus...
A kid I skate with is 22 and finishing college this year. He works downtown for a financial firm (internship) and drives a used Lexus ES. Last night after our game, we were walking out and I asked him if he considered Acura or namely the ILX.
"I don't know what an ILX is...is there an Acura dealer in town?"

Is everyone supposed to know a car that was released two months ago?
I had to search Subaru website for a local dealer. Is that a bad thing for Subaru?

Well, I'd sure as hell hope that the target demographic for the ILX would know about it by now.
What are you looking for a Subaru dealer for? Coming to your senses and wanting a BRZ?

I would love me a BRZ. That sense was there since the concept was announced.

Read on another site that a new gen LS will debut in 2014 so this is a MMC or some call a MCE to get to last two more years on the market.

You must not hang around car people.
It wasn't "a jab" at Acura...it was a true story, purely factual. It illustrates how disconnected they are from their target demographic and I still think they would have been better off to keep the RSX type of car to really provide this "gateway" that they talk about.
You know yourself that as a younger person, you have an extreme amount of exposure to people your age given highschool and/or college. What did your friends drive? I am 19 years out of high school and I can still name probably 50 cars I remember from the kids I grew up with...especially the guys I skated with. That is how I got interested in Honda at 16 actually, as a buddy of mine had a CRX.
Would it be smarter to target an audience that has less money with a more inexpensive sporty model that they actually could and might buy, or do you price one out the window that looks boring and stuffy?

Regardless, the front end styling is hideous, especially now that they have grafted it on to their high-end model.

It's disgusting. It wasn't so bad when Lexus would just copy Mercedes, but now they are copying Hyundai rear ends with a mix of Sonata hybrid/Audi/Infiniti front ends. And the interior is still a sea of Toyota buttons and switches.
It's not a bad car when considering it's by far the cheapest in the class that it supposedly competes in, but it's still far behind a 7/S/A8.

The GS is selling well? According to who? If we go by the same standards which YOU YOURSELF use to claim the Infiniti M a failure, then the GS is doing even worse. It's even worse when you consider that Lexus moved the GS downmarket with the exclusion of a V8 model while Infiniti moved the M more upmarket.

July 2012 Lexus GS Sales: 1,662.
July 2006 Lexus GS Sales: 2,075.
Outsold by the BMW 5-Series, Mercedes E-Class, Cadillac XTS, and Audi A6.

What kind of weirdo are you? The sales target for the GS is 24k a year its on target.
The Inifniti M sadly is selling very poorly but nothing sells as good as that RL!
The GS is by far the best selling and well received Japanese luxury sport sedan and its goal like the M and RL isn't to beat the Germans in sales. They just want their piece of the pie.
You do realize not every product was meant to sell #1 right. lol

Wow did you really look at 2006 GS figures. Did you take into account inflation and changed sales targets? No, you just look at numbers you don't understand.
When you get older you will understand in business products have their purpose, targets and niches. The GS in this case is meeting its niche and target.
