I thought we were told that we were going to get a Sedan with 6MT?

We are. LX and Sport trims will be available with a 6MT.

EX too, according to the order sheet. I was shocked to see it considering the Civic EX isn't available with a manual.

The Civic EX Coupe is available with a manual, just not the Sedan.

I was referring to the sedan, but you are correct.

Perhaps Honda will revise that with the MMC next year...
Several reports have shown that sales of MT are on an upward swinging trajectory...

Civic EX sedan in Canada is available with a manual, the ex-l is the only one that doesn't get it. Canadian's must buy more sticks than American's.

As a percentage we do, but not overall as we are 10% of the US market size. We get more Civic manuals as there's proportionately more civic buyers who want them, especially out east in Quebec,. Last time I checked 15% of Canadians drive standards. That said it's only the Civic and Fit - we have just one Accord manual sedan and lost the very nice Element manual well before it disappeared altogether.
Nice thing about the Civic EX manual is it is 4 to 5K less than the EXL (which we can't get without navi), and has a leather steering wheel standard, which lends itself to....
Custom leather is both a lower price than Honda's usual leather add-on, and you can of course choose any color you like. You just don't get the other bits that come with the EXL vs EX of course. In the case of EX versus EXL Civic or Odyssey EX/EXL there's a big cost saving though and the leather feels way nicer. All for around $22,000 inc freight...
Just checked SE Accord manual would be worth doing too - cripes that's a good deal. Our SE comes in cloth only but leathering it could come out to under $25,000.
Digressing a bit from this thread..

That's very nice to know. A step in the right direction.

So are diesels, but Honda stubbornly refuses to bring one of those over to the states, even though they just developed an apparently kick ass one.

Which pretty much is the reason we ended up getting the Si sedan... ;-)
