How about making cars that people are excited about again. I remember the first time I laid eyes on an S2000. I had to have that car. Honda let that car wither on the vine as well. Idiotic management continues.

Whats idiotic is your way of running a car company and ignoring the competition. Every car manufacture has telematics of some sort in the car except Honda. Now Honda has joined the game.

In fact, Honda and Acura had "telematics" for many years. Honda had voice controlled systems long before most. The fact is that the industry has played leap frog in the past decade, and this is Honda catching up, and putting its own twist on the further integration of smartphones into their systems.

With a few notable exceptions, Honda tends not to be the 1st to market with technologies that are in a state of constant flux and almost monthly innovation. This protects Honda as well as its customers from investing in solutions that are instantly made obsolete in a few months when the next leap in technology/implementation occurs. Maybe that sounds like a cop-out, but it is also true.

I know some customers, probably many here, would prefer to have whatever the latest/greatest technology is in their car, even if it forces them to invest in and learn new equipment/service provider every couple years, but that just isn't consistent with Hondas philosophy and I doubt it ever will be. The one thing I've always been able to count on is that once Honda does implement something like this, it WORKS, unlike some other variations in the industry recently.
