Another first for ToV! Yes.... we're making Jeff proud, huh?
Yes. Folks. It does exist.. the Odyssey Type R. It has been spied in Orange County...
click here for the back label picture

Note too the In'N'Out label on the back window... this is obvious the family ride of someone with fine taste and weird automotive humor ;-)

just a sticker, they should lower it, upgrade to 18"rubber rscing rims, ehaust, body kit, projector lens, upgraded suspension and dual front and rear anti sway along with anti tilt lean technology,
at least its a start

Hmmm.. I'm told there was a Prelude SH and an RSX-S right next to it... so maybe the stickers are only the beginning!!
Also, I hear that six trained kids in the back seat do wonders as anti tilt technology... once they're properly trained they replace a ton of suspension bits.... LEAN to the right! to the left!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, I love it, Tony. I see you finally got your wife to order you the Type R sticker. Very nice touch to the OTR. Excuse me, the REAL OTR. hahahahahaha.
sweeet :) :)

Thanks... yes I think it's a hoot too... specially with the tow bar right below it... This must be the only "Type R" in the world equipped to tow an ITR huh? But, I think that we ought to look into a +1 tire package soon....
I didn't take it out today... maybe tomorrow I'll drive it around the University... we'll see the reaction then...
I figure if anyone at HMC sees this either they're gonna gag on their green tea or send some team of ginja to try their ginzu knifes on me :-((((
BTW: that was the OEM ITR's side sticker.. I cut out the Integra part. Dang those stickers are expensive too!!!

Tony, ever do any catamaran sailing? Know what "being on trapeeze" is? I can see it now, big constant radius curve coming up and on the inside of the curve side of the OTR, the side door glides open and the kids pull off a perfect triple trapeeze (door not wide enough for all six) with the trap wires from the roof rack, leaning out to counterbalance. Tell everyone they're training for the olympic sailing squad (Tornado class).

Yeah... I used to sail in an E-scow (sp?) with two trapezes....we used to put the heavy guys out there.
The only fly to the ointment is that the power doors won't open unless the transmission is in park. Perphaps Hondata could come up with some new firmware to override them.

E-scows, where in the world did you sail E-scows? I grew up on Chautauqua Lake (NY) E-scow heaven, regattas almost daily. A friend kept his 20' Hobie at my place. We would go out on windy days to "ghost" the E-scow races to see how much we could beat them by over their course;-P Best day we had was up on one hull and sailed that hull over the transom of a scow crewed by a bunch of teenagers on daddy's boat, they got so flustered they swamped it. Now I do similar things with the S2000 on back roads with BMW's and Boxters.

Lakes Union and Washington.. right off the UW in Seattle, a long time ago. My boss had one of them. Fun stuff... fast. It was called the Duct Tape because it seemed like that was how it was held.
And the way they drive up there, by the Ballard Locks, that e-scow was twice as fast as the usual Ballard driver... no need for more than 20 bhp in the Volvo.

Tony, you never cease to amaze me..... Putting a Type R sticker on an Odyssey took a ton of NARDS. On the "sack scale," you get a 10, my friend.
BTW, I've seen an Odyssey with 20" Wheels and 8 subwoofers. But it still lacked the infamous Type R badge. According to some people who post here at TOV, that badge alone gave you about 7 more whp. Get your ass to the local dyno IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!

Well thank you.. ;-)
But you're wrong... that sticker must be worth not just 7 bhp but at least 100 bhp to some folks around UCI.
Today a riced Integra and a Corvette actually raced me off red lights... can you frickin' believe it? I mean.. like WE know it's a sticker for cryin' out loud... but those clowns at UCI had to race me... I mean, like I was laughing my head off.... CD on... some nice music on... just going fast enough that no one else catches up and on the next light they go off vroom! again.
Of course, I didn't race them.. I mean.. you never see the guy with the Ferrari race a Vette... so they will never know. ;-)))
BTW. that type R sticker really looks good on a silver Odyssey.... it's the OEM ITR side sticker, and I just trimmed the Integra part out...
I'm thinking of going to 17 inch rims with 235 50 -17s.... any rim larger than that will surely affect the ride and the ability to use chains when we have to do our winter trips to the Puget Sound. No need for subwoofers... you know what I think about automobile audio.. so let's not go there in this forum.
I can't wait 'till my wife takes it up to work in Torrance on the San Diego Fwy... I ought to follow her with the video camera... ;-))))))
ROTFLOL.....
BTW: My wife, her car pool buddy and I were laughing our heads off over that sticker.... particularly when we realized that we have the tow bar.... the only Type R in the world with a tow bar.... ;-)))))))) Sorry... but I'm just having a blast thinking about it.... it's so frickin' funny......
