This doesn't seem all that newsworthy (all they did was add a new color) but the MY 2013 Fit is already out.

2013 Honda Fit

Anyone have any insight on when the next-gen Fit is coming out? If it's MY2014 I assume it will be sometime next spring/summer...?

It will be when the new Mexico factory comes on line. At the ground breaking a couple of months ago, they said production will start in 2014. It would be safe to assume that will be for MY2015 vehicles, and that will be the start of the next generation for North American Fits. In the mean time, we will continue to get the Japan made Fit, delivered in limited quantities.

Honda does not promote the current Fit in the US, as they lose money on every sale (poor $$ for Yen exchange). Watch all that change when the new profitable model comes from Mexico.

Well, they could have raised the price (inflation is 2-3% usually). They didn't - that's good news!

Inflation would have added $300-$450 (for a 2-3% inflation increase on a $15,000 car).

I believe the North American version of the next gen Fit will be released in 2014. But in Japan, the next gen Fit will debut some months earlier, sometime in mid - late 2013.
