What do you think would do better, a hypothetical TL Gran Turismo (see BMW 5-series Gran Turismo) or the ZDX? The TL GT would be lower, longer, and have more cargo space.

Earlier today in another thread, I wrote the MMC of the ZDX is a bad idea because it can't fix the fundamental problem of it being built on the wrong platform. I don't have a problem with radical design but the ZDX just has too much wrong with it to fix with exterior changes that a MMC brings.
I think a TL GT could be interesting. Neal has shared with us a few stunning 5-door designs in the past year and its hard to argue with the increased functionality and cargo capacity.
Looking back, IMHO it may have been much more successful if Acura had developed a TL GT (shape similar to the CrossTour) instead of the ZDX and brought back a more traditional Accord Wagon (like the mule spy shots) for the more traditional Accord consumers.

I know I'd love to see a lot more 5 door hatches, wagons, and even shooting brakes in the US market, but I think I'm still in the minority on this. But then again, I love the Crosstour, so what do I know...

You're not the only one. I actually like the Crosstour too, and I would love to see more wagons in the U.S.

I like the idea of a TL wagon better (something like a 5 series estate) more than a TL GT (something like a 5 series GT, I'm assuming.)
These "GT" vehicles seem to me to be niche vehicles. But, I'm not sure. I haven't seen the sales numbers of the 5 series GT against the 5 series estate.
Idk. I think the TL's styling would work better as a wagon than as a crossover.

The interior of the Crosstour is very fine.
The handling is fine as well.. for a vehicle that size.
Getting in and out is easy... no dropping down (Civic) nor stepping up (Odyssey).
I think all it needs is a shorter, more sloped nose that doesn't stick out so much and follows the body line... and a significant chop of the long extension of the rear fenders.. they really go past the backgate like ten inches...
It also needs body skirts and an adjustment to the wheel well.. the body looks like it's on stilts.

Well, since I got my TSX Wagon and loving it... I think Acura should introduce TL and ILX wagons.
And keep the TSX.
I mean, a TSX 240bhp ED3.0, AT6SS/MT6, SH-AWD, hmmm....
A TL ED3.5 300bhp wagon with AT6SS/MT6, SH-AWD, hmm...
Even an ILX wagon 200bhp K24, AT6SS/MT6, LSD, FWD... hmm..

LOL, Tony. Few need an SUV now, but it hasn't stopped people from wanting and buying them.
