Interestingly, I was looking back at the blurry shot of the plug-in hybrid and that had the rear-reflectors in the bumper, which led me to consider that might point to it being a global model, since for instance the current TSX has these, but the US Accord doesn't. But, then I came back and looked at the shots here and they were missing the reflectors also. Does this mean, the plug-in is a global model and the other trims aren't, who knows

Okay, let me clarify a few things for you. All cars around the world are required to have rear-facing reflectors. The 2012 U.S. Accord (JDM Inspire) just has the reflectors in the brake lamp housing.
The extra trunk light is where the Inspire-spec rear fog lights would go. (which are not required in the U.S.)

IIRC, spy shots of the coupe also show rear reflector(s) [interesting those on TOV have only one reflector] down in the bumper.

I had not swelled on that detail. You mean the little red square that can be seen in the lower right corner of the back bumper?
I am wondering now if that oz not just a pealed off piece of damp showing the coupe 's red paint job. That and some kind of grille detail reminiscent of the big back grille on the coupe concept?
