Sorry to hear about your problem. Hopefully with your alignment will help with the longevity of your new tires. I just passed 50,000 miles on mine and they may be slightly out of alignment because the outsides are wearing quicker than the insides but it is not nearly as dramatic as yours must have been.
Which model of General tires did you have installed? Did you stay with the standard 175/65 size? I would like to have a quieter, smoother riding tire but not if it comes with a sacrifice of worse fuel efficiency, how have the new tires affected your mileage?
