I would love to have an Accord Wagon. Europe even gets an Accord wagon Type-S! (Although it is just the TSX wagon, but still!)

Accord Wagon and a new Integra... I'd buy both today if they made them available. fingers crossed.

In 1994 there was an Accord wagon available. It just sat collecting dust on dealer lots. Back when I was shopping for my 1994 Accord, a Chicago area dealer offered me $3000 off of one of the two Accord wagons he had. Nobody wanted them. I suspect Honda does not see a market for Accord wagons in the US, and they are probably right.

Amen. I so loved my '87 Integra LS 5D MT and '91 Accord EXL WGN MT. Really miss those two cars. But I'm not going to hold my breath that Honda will ever produce worthy successors to those two cars. I guess there are just not enough of us weirdoes out there to justify making them.

European/Japan Honda Accord = Acura TSX. Also, European/Japan Honda Accord Wagon = Acura TSX Wagon. Simple enough equation for smarter minds, so those of you who aspires a European/Japan Honda Accord Wagon, IT IS the Acura TSX Wagon. Go get it and stop whining!

Sorry everyone who wanted an updated sportier wagon than the TSX. No EarthDreams for you! Too smart for us, I guess.

TSX wagon + automatic only + premium gas required = no thanks.

You're absolutely right. For some reason crossovers such as the CR-V, Ford Explorer, and Infiniti JX sell very well here. While in Europe, hatchbacks and wagons are preferred.

Because they can't afford to drive crossovers. They have to buy cheap ass hatchbacks with tiny diesel engines.

Americans tend to provide the higher driving position that CUVs/SUVs offer to the low position that Europeans like in wagons and hatchbacks.

If you had to pay $8 a gallon for gas or diesel, what would you drive?

Gas prices aside, automotive fads come and go. If they built an exciting right-sized Accord wagon, then I think they'd see good sales. The problem is, they often dont size them right or put much effort into it for the US and we end up getting a sad version that is little loved (regardless of the maker). The TSX Wagon is interesting, but as pointed out... there are a lot of compromises including the leather only, Acura shielded, little space, no spare tire, and premium fueled car thats not really a great drive.
Again, if you build it right for the market, people will come. Most Subaru's sold are wagons, and they're doing great! But we're given the Crosstour and TSX Wagon instead from our favorite company.

and those tiny diesel engines smoke most Honda big engines, unfortunaly... sad but true. The really low spec standard BMW 2.0 diesel at 170hp eats at 200hp Honda Accord...quickly, that is sad but true, and gets much better MPG.
I thought Americans understood that :), "nothing beats cubic inches", today it's nothing beats torque, either by diesel, turbo or compressor.
Honda can provide that with an electric engine add-on, but unfortunaly not with a NA only if they don't decide to do a S3000 engine ;)
