How about throwing enthusiasts a bone and further spice up the Accord lineup..... create an Si-like peformance version just for Accord..... a SH-AWD Accord V6 2 door version! Aim it squarely to those thinking about getting Mustang/Camaro V6s and Hyundai Genesis Coupe.
The reason is, mechanical SH-AWD is on its way out (to be replaced with performance hybrid SH-AWD) next year for Acura, and it would be nice if excess supplies of mechanical SH-AWDs would trickle down to bread & butter Hondas. Extra bonus for Honda if they found a way to further cut SH-AWD cost in manufacturing while retaining reliability & durability.

I have a feeling they'll sell something like that as an Acura...
I don't think Honda would put SH-AWD in a car with a Honda badge, especially after they tried so hard to build Acura into Tier 1 prestige with it.

Just rebrand it like the way Volkswagen rebrands Audi's quattro (4motion) on selected models. If it worked well for VW/Audi, it should also work for Honda/Acura.
Rebrand that 10-yr old tech mechanical SH-AWD from Acura for Honda while retaining the same system. Use the Honda marketing-speak "Real Time AWD".
While "Real Time AWD" is currently used on higher-trimmed, high capacity people movers like CRVs, Accord Crosstours and even Acura RDX; my proposed "Real Time AWD Pro" using mechanical SH-AWD tech would be exclusive to Honda performance-oriented bread & butter like the Accord 2dr V6.
To keep the price down of this proposed "Accord V6 Real Time AWD Pro" for enthusiasts and further differentiate to Acura, use LX-trim cloth interior in black & grey and delete sunroof for added rigidity.
As for Acura...
Acura should, most of the time, get latest technologies... and I predict Acura will drop all mechanical SH-AWD models in favor of hybridized SH-AWD in a year or two.

How about a 6MT Accord with pretty much the same setup as the 2007-08 Acura TL. 3.5L V6, LSD sport tuned suspension. Would easily wipe the floor with other FWD V6 coupes while saving weight/costs by not using SH-AWD.
