Where would the rear fog lights go, assuming that it will be available in other markets?

Nice, clean lines. 5 million to the tenth power times better than the current frumpy styling.

It would be nice if the lights followed the lines of the black tape up top - with a high point at the corner dipping down toward the license plate. This is what makes it look like a 6th gen Accord as others have mentioned
Always liked this, if you squint your eyes and look at the form, it reminds me of the top half of the Honda logo letter "H".

That’s interesting turkman, I’ve never noticed that.
I’ve always like the lights on that generation too as they remind me of the 1990ish Preludes. Also this was the last Accord Sedan (7G mmc excluded) to have a more traditional Honda butt/tail lamp design.
If you look back at many older Hondas/Acuras from the side, the vertical portion of the rear end had a slight arch and the trunk lid would flow inwards as it meets the bumper. The lights (again, looking from the side) would flow down as if to point at the rear wheel well. Miniscule? Maybe, but I think those details made the car more attractive and more recognizable as a Honda. A few examples…
Recent designs have been doing the total opposite with the vertical portion of the rear flowing outward (like the car it sticking its butt out) and the light flowing upward toward the C-pillar. A few examples…

Now that;s what I'm talking about - much nicer, more distinctive....unfortunately I doubt Honda will do this.

You're right. And, if so, they just may sell a few.
Now, about the front facia . . . .

Other than the fact they are both sedans, I don't see much resemblance other than the general arch of the trunk lid/spoiler. The Honda looks more sporty and a bit more upscale to me.

Back-up lights extending... nice and clever styling cue.

Agreed, other than the light design, the cars do not share anything else. The Accord's lines are sharper and overall the design has more pazzaz than the Genesis. The Genesis styling is so generic to me...

Upon closer inspection I think I detect something else: a possible chrome strip along the bottom of the trunk lid. If you look closely you can see a crease under the black tape that would create a visually seamless connection between the two backup lights.
BMW's 7 Series has this design, as well (sorry, I'd insert a photo for reference but am unsure how to :[)...
