I've ridden for years and I can tell you if you enjoy the sport of riding the bike is great. Highway onramps are a ton of fun to get rid of chicken strips, I think I take leans better on this 250 than the 599 I had years ago. Best of all, cheap insurance, cheap gas.
He speaks the truth. Just because it is a small displacement single-cylinder bike, doesn't mean it can't be lots of fun to ride. It seems like many of the older riders appreciate its merits more than the younger squids. I can rev the snot out of it (like my 2009 Civic Si Sedan) and feel like a racer, yet still retain my licence. Much harder to do that on a 600cc supersport.
I like to think of it as my small sport-touring mount. Fun for camping too. See link below.
