I noticed that the 2013 Accord and the 2012 Acura TL have a very similar (almost identical) roof line. I wonder if Honda did a clever money saving trick and is using the TL body shell for the new Accord? That would have met the requirement for shortening the Accord a bit (the TL is shorter than the Accord).

Any Photoshop jockeys want to play with that?

Do you mean the RLX?

Well the TSX and Euro Accord shared almost everything, so there is little surprise here that some follow through exists. The US Accord grew in size a little to accommodate our Red meat bred behinds.

No, I meant the TL, which is built in Ohio along side the Accord. The current Accord is actually a little bit larger than the TL, both wheelbase and overall length. They share the platform, but not the roof line. The 2013 Accord appears to have adopted the TL roof line.

The Acura RLX will be noticeably larger. Honda has already stated that it will have class leading rear seat room.

You might be on to something Waldo!

Wouldn't that be funny if they just rehash the TL and put some new body panels on it.

I'd do it if I were AHM...that 2012 TL is great looking, and it's a good size!

I dunno, I'm with the OP. I see more RLX and current Accord in the roofline than TL. To my eyes, the TL's roofline appear to have more of an arc while the roof of the spied Accord, current Accord, and RLX looks flatter on top.

Most, if not all midsize cars offered from Honda have similar greenhouses; there isn't much you can do to provide maximum airiness and visibility compared to competitors which seem to have fallen in love with high beltlines and swoopy rears.
