The only negative (if I had to find one) is that they don't seem to be using reflector style tailights (which help remove the dotty look and have clean illumated surface). I guess honda is still reserving that for Acura.
Having say that I am happy to see this use of leds and hope it makes it to some trims of the i4 and v6 engines.

Agreed. I hate the high-mount stop light on the Camry and Corolla (and quite a few others) which are basically four big dots. It's so cheap looking, like a child's Lite Brite.
I don't want my lights to be dots, I want them to glow. BMW does this best, though as you say that's more like competition to Acura. But they could still make the Honda effort better than its own competition.

I agree that BMW's use of LEDs look more upscale. Even on the front. I know I'm in the minority, but I'm not a huge fan of LED DRLs in most applications.
I'm really liking the lines on this new Accord. There are a few things I'm worried about though. For one, while I like the general shape of the tail lights (from what I can see), it looks like they are going to be huge.

Nothing wrong with that, is there?
As long as they work for the car, anyway.

I don't mind large lights, as long as they don't ruin the rear end... (think pre-mmc Lincoln MKZ or Chrysler Sebring) Looking at one of the other pictures, I'm thinking they will turn out fine. I think the close up in the pic above may have played a part in making them look a little over sized.
From what I can see, they look to be styled nicely. More Japanese looking than the current model, which is a + for me.
