I am very surprised that it has the Concept C front. I am not sure if the aggressive front matches the somewhat clean and discreet side profile. But I like what I am seeing. Looks great IMO.
BTW, more and more I am starting to believe that spy shots are staged. :P

I think this car will do better if it truly is shorter and overall has a smaller exterior than it's competitors. Why? Becuase it will differentiate itself from the "bloat" of the majority of the pack and will harken back to when an Accord looked like a Japanese car as opposed to a GM wannabe like the current iteration, and to much lesser extent the model before it. I hate it that these cars have been getting bigger and bigger just to satisfy what? I even think that the new Camry has already started to reverse trend by either not growing or looking smaller (I haven't compared the specs. to tell for sure).
IMO, the new Accord is still retaining some "American" bloat, but it does seem trimmer. It also seems to have more pleasing proportions than the outgoing model, which IMO is the most un-Honda Accord ever. However, the front fascia and bumper look rather blocky and seem to need a little bit more finesse in the curves. It may have been metioned elsewhere, but isn't that squared-off bumper on purpose for aerodynamics? It's similar to what BMW has in it's current line-up, but taken further to the edges of the fender.
All in all I think the design is a step in the right direction (less bloat and better proportions), despite looking somewhat utilitarian. Nevertheless, the magic of Hondas is that generally they seem to get better looking with age.

I agree that the current Accord is too large. Probably it is because Honda (and also Acura) is slotting their models between two categories like between compact and midsize or between midsize and full-size - trying to be everything, to be the best of both worlds. Hopefully they have abandoned that strategy.
I agree that the Accord needs to be trimmed. Design-wise the upcoming model looks promising - well based on the those spy shots. As I mentioned before, I don't care if it's an evolution of a previous design as long as it is done right. I hate what they have done to the Euro Civic tsk tsk.

I agree! For Accord, bigger is NOT better. This new Accord looks promising.
