Now that there are better Accord pix out to compare with spy shots the other day. The side mirror blinkers have the same thin design ... and the shark fin ... hmmmm

it does almost look like the same sharkfin, but check out how the body crease goes above the doorhandles on the RLX and directly through them on the Accord plug-in.
It's a shame that the RLX bears so much resemblance to the Accord though. Bad news for Acura...

Are you stoopid? look at the Hofmeister kink. The door handles are positioned DIFFERENTLY.

I would definitely say the Accord. I don't remember a plug-in model for the RLX being announced. The hofmeister kink is also a bit shorter on the Accord, whereas on the RLX has a more broad/taller window.

Are we really gonna have this discussion again?
Black car: RLX, new car: Plug-in Hybrid Accord.
So unless we are discussing the differences or similarities between the two...
Fine I'll leave.

This is definitely the Accord - I was just posting the new pics w/ the other one as there was much debate to as to whether the older pic was an RLX or Accord. Just putting them together so people can compare/contrast easier.

The front license plate "place holder" kills it for me. Hope its something that can be removed because its just god awfull prominent and ruins the lines of the front end.

Other than the Hoff Kink I really dont see how they look alike and I have yet been able to understand why people keep insisting that the RLX is the Accord when the RLX concept is spot on with the RLX mule.
Anyway, from the small design details I can see on the Accord, it seems as Honda is returning to design details and lines that actually have purpose and make sense. The car also looks to have more surface tension and less visual bloat. The overhangs seem to be in check as well as the proportion/size of door handles and lights. The last Accord while a decent looking car had quite a few odd design details like the overhangs, bulging headlights, door handles that were too big and some other design issues that made the design as a whole look like a mismatched puzzle.

You folks are sad and just want to post absurd stuff for attention... The latest spy shots of the beige sedan DOES NOT HAVE A SUNROOF - now you know all RLXs will have a sunroof! However, like the Civic Hybrid, the Accord hybrid will most likely not offer a sunroof in order to reduce weight and wind drag. Another dead giveaway this is the Accord. Duh!
*Though I must admit the front end of the new Accord does look more like an Acura than a Honda... Not a bad thing either...*
