We have just returned from 6 months in Florida.
I set my odometer in our 2010 Insight back when we left Ohio. Over the six months we experienced 44.1 MPG, travelling 7330 Miles, for the overall Trip.
I will add that we get much better Mileage in FL than in OH. Here in OH we have a rough time breaking 40MPG.

This is overall, not just filling up and the coast down a hill and looking at the computer for fantastic numbers.

Welcome to the discussion. Agree with your comment, the most reliable and relevant fuel efficiency FE data here at TOV, is the one displayed in the TOV users Real World FE database table (TOV members only). This table updates automatically as it pulls its data from Spritmonitor; a fuel consumption tracking site in which we record tank-after-tank fill-ups and the calculations are done “manually” for greater accuracy over trip computer readings (these can also be logged and used for comparison).

It takes 3000 miles logged on Spritmonitor to qualify to be displayed in this table. At the moment there are three of us qualifying for it. There is already a 2010 Insight with great real world numbers in it.

You might find this interesting (if you din’t already know about it).

Hondasrule.........

How the hell did that get by me??????? I am the MPG KING? First I heard about this table......

Yes Sir Man.........

Ohio gas is some of the WORST blended gas in the nation. There are over 60 blends of gas (if there was just one blend, the price of gas would drop almost .40 cents a gallon some experts say....). I go to PA a lot and when I fill up there, i get about 60 more miles from a tank then Ohio gas. When I came back from FL in 2010, my longest tank was the tank from FL, over 650 miles.

I am not sure if they use less Ethanol or what, but Ethanol is a MPG KILLER.......and we have 2 blends of gas in Ohio, Winter and Summer.......FL is only Summer blend and that is a better fuel.......hope that helps......Welcome to the sight.

OK, I am looking at this chart and I can't figure it out.......I have almost 40,000 miles of records of every mile driven and every drop of gas put in my car on an app on my phone. I can transfer that to this sight, but it doesn't make sence to me????

Um.....help?

I wanna play, I wanna play.........LOL!

So if I put this app on my phone after I put the spread sheet on my PC with a pass word and all, it will transfer all the data to my phone via spritmonitor and when I fill up I just update it on my Droid Smartphone spritmonitor app and it will automatically post on TOV?...........

I can't help you with the CSV file import because I haven't done it (I started from scratch on Spritmonitor when I bought the car and my entries have been done manually).

But, you might want to continue this discussion in the TOV users Real World FE database thread so that those who participate and use the app or have gone through the import process might be able to assist you.

1. I would get the Spritmonitor account up to date first.

2. Then, post your Spritmonitor information on that thread so Daniel makes an entry for your car in the table (the table will update automatically after that as Spritmonitor receives new data from you).

This is the information I posted so Daniel could add me to the TOV table (do the same when you're ready):

2012 Honda Insight EX
98HP
LDA3 MF6
USA Big City

Hopefully you don't ignore this post (as before) or I might be giving up on you ;)

Don't worry about the CLEV image (who knows how it got there) just load the image you want to use and it'll take its place.
