The video is not -that- bad right ? I think if any one of us here is to be in Tyson's place, we would probably would not be able to do that much better. I mean the 'base material' has to be good enough in the first place. So don't shoot the messenger. I am sure Tyson is a nice guy and he is an Acura fan so he's 'one of us'.

WongKN, I consider myself a fan of Honda/Acura products, but not a "performance enthusiast" in the same sense as Jeff, Notyper, and others. I am closer to the mainstream driver, as I do like to be comfortable in my car, but I like good handling and driver involvement too.
From my perspective, the video is "that bad". The conversation in the video does not sound natural to me. It sounds badly scripted.
Whether Tyson is a nice guy or not is irrelevant to my issues with this video series. As I stated in my prior post, I'm not going to sit here and criticize Tyson, but I will be critical of Acura. It's just crazy to pretend that the 2.4L ILX is some kind of sporty car when it lacks the suspension tuning and limited-slip differential that it should have. Nearly every reviewer on the Internet has commented on the suspension: the tuning is appropriate for the 2.0L model, but it's too soft and there's too much roll for the 2.4L model.
This is an issue of sincerity and honesty for me. Acura marketing is playing up the ILX to be something it is not, and I find that ridiculous.

LSD is one thing, but I would imagine it would cost Acura ... nothing whatsoever... to tweak spring rate & dampers for the 2.4.
Okay, maybe more paperwork and some deviation in the production line but really, they've gone ahead and rebuilt a substantially different car from its "donor" but won't go the extra mile...no, FOOT... to adjust some suspension settings to match its powertrain?
Of course, I don't pretend to know engineering limitations of this particular suspension tuning. But point is, they seem to be touting "Intelligent Luxury" as if it refers to how clever they've simplified things for themselves..

Hahahaha, OK, OK, I do understand your pains (both you guys, and others as well). That's why I did write the -'base material'- must first be up to par... I suppose for this time, I am glad Acura is not yet here in most of Asia. We do wish we get the MDX though.
