First thing I notice is that the trunk lid appears to be quite a bit shorter than the prior model. Other than that hard to visually tell anything else.

yep, the sonata seems to have stuck in everyone's minds when styling their new generation.
Looks taller, in the same way the new camry appears versus the old one.
It doesn't appear to be smaller either, rather like a slightly bigger maxima actually.

First reaction is disappointment. The only completely visible part of the car, the roofline, is virtually indistinguishable from the previous generation. If this indicates that this new version is going to be nothing more than a simple rehash, I won't be getting a fifth consecutive Accord. There's too much competition out there, cars that have already outpaced the current gen Accord, that also offer much more expressive styling. A lightly freshened 5 year old styling exercise just doesn't cut it.
