My next car is going to be a Natural Gas Civic Navi and the car after that will be an FCX Clarity...........There is NO OTHER OPTION FOR ME!!!!!!!! I will get what I want.........

Will this sound chessy ? I KNOW I will continue to buy Honda. And in the far future, as far away in the future as it can be, decades away, BUT, I forsee at that time I will be thankful and continue to be in full admiration of Honda, perhaps even more than now. Let me explain.

Around the area where I live, I regularly encounter this very old man when I am driving. He has very weak legs, but yet would slowly make his way around the streets, one hand carrying an umbrella. I would see him walking at all hours of the day, morning, afternoon, sometimes even at night. I can only guess he is now all alone, either never had children, or sadly perhaps his children have all left him claiming rights to 'life of their own'. Initially I pity him but nowadays I have great respect and admiration for his courage. I can see he can hardly walk and yet he bravely makes his way, perhaps out to the shops around half a kilometer away, for meals or more likely just to ensure he is as fit as he physically can be. Without his courage, he would probably just rot away at a nursing home.

While I hope I will never see the day, deep down inside me I -KNOW- it is more likely than not that this will happen to me when I get to the same age. Age is something we still have no way of combating. One can laugh. One can gloat. But rest assured, no matter how confident or arrogant one can be, EVERYONE will HAVE to suffer from the ravages of old age.

I look forward to the day when I read a certain Honda press release. For I know that I will DEFINITELY be buying that model just a few decades away. What I am referring to is Honda's WAD - the Walk Assist Device. I hope by the time I need it, Honda would have developed it to integrate seamlessly with the human body because I am depending on something like it in my old-old age.

Thus my continue admiration and dedication to Honda, despite all the complaints I have about their car. Honda is still the ONLY big corporation who has the means and resources to build such devices as the WAD and to make them feasible enough to benefit the common folks. To me, despite all the bashing and criticism I may have levelled at Honda lately, I continue to respect and admire them because of one simple fact. They PROVE they are truly a -MOBILITY- company.

Like I said in the beginning, this post do sound kind of 'cheesy' (don't know what better word to use to describe it) but it is my honest opinion.

@DCR: when will you be eligible?

I've got too much testosterone, and certainly not enough patience, to attend something like that. If that was some form of serious gathering where I could beat on some performance models and provide some feedback, sure, but not something as lame as this shit.

Also, if I did attend this comedy show...I wouldn't be making the highlight reel for my opinions.

The insurance quote for the Si is not much more than the EX.

I got a feeling that soon we may have an Si sedan. I want it in red, but I think she wants is blue... but since the TSX is blue I may get my way... for once. ;-)

Just so you know - EX Manual Civics are under $20K this weekend inc freight. Thats advertised...
