Thinking of moving onto a Pilot. Just had the 2nd major repair done on our 04 CR-V and I am tired of having it. 2 years ago the AC unit blew up, a known problem, cost me $2600 to fix. Just this week the clutch imploded and blew a hole in our transmission, that will be about $3300 to fix.
Needless to say I am tired of it. Sure it could be good to go from here on out, but I have a bad taste in my mouth. Looking at prices for pilots, I could almost do an even swap if I sell the CRV privately and get a pilot with more miles. -We have 74k on the CRV, pilots in my range would have around 100k miles.
We have 2 kids, unsure of whether we will have more. REALLY not into vans, at 6'5 I barely fit in the passenger seat of the older oddy's.
I know my wife would appreciate an automatic, and I would like the extra room, just super sick of the CRV.
Any auto tranny issues to be afraid of with the pilots from 02-up?
