Just got my 2013 rdx AWD with tech pkg. I noticed many Honda models offer the same engine in their lineup. I was wondering if there are any available mods or upgrades for this engine right now. I am looking for intakes, ecu. Btw... Will modding the ecu affect the variable cylinder management?

I wouldn't mess with anything on that engine, MasterYuk.

I would assume many people will modify their accords and since they use the same engine. It would apply to the rdx too. And even better for the 6-at.

Actually, very few on TOV have mentioned modding their 3.5's, or 3.0's for that matter.

I am sure some basics are interchangable or could be made to work, but some stuff would be different.
For instance, you may likely be able to use the aftermarket downpipes from places like ATLP etc. That would free up some power. I am sure you could get an intake to work, as on every J series setup I have seen, it is essentially a straight pipe with couplers. If you wanted to get the filter down into the fender, that might get a little trickier. As for ECU and exhaust, there aren't many ECU upgrades for that engine, and exhaust would most likely need to be custom.

Mod's sometimes affect the warranty.

There's a bunch of 'kids' on www.v6performance.net/ that mod Accord V6's. Can probably get some ideas there, although no guarantees, they're good ideas ;)
