Really jazzed about the replacement for Taffetta White. It was a little bland with all the fancier metallic, off-whites and pearls from other marques. Hopefully it carries to the Civic and Ody too.
Equally cool a black interior will be offered with that exterior color in the 13 Accord Sedan since a black interior has been MIA since as long as I can remember (7th and 8th gen models at least).

It appears the only choice on Sport models will be a black interior and it seems to be the prevailing interior option for almost every other exterior color and trim level.

RE: BLACK INTERIORS. I tend to prefer black and charcoal colored interiors, personally. My only concern has been the direction Honda has gone with them in the last few years toward a completely consistent black tone throughout... when what their cabins need are some variations in hue and texture across the dash, the seating fabric choices, and the carpet to make them more interesting and expensive looking inside. I've seen the 'one tone approach' as one of the effects of cost reduction: one fabric covering the entire seat; one color of tint for the injection moulding process of most/all interior parts. The Fit, the current Accord, and to some degree the new CRV has this issue - as do the Acuras. I think its part of the reason Acura gets the rap for having a down grade Honda interior.
The old CRV used several materials, hues, and surface textures to great effect. So, the black/ivory is something I'll be eager to see. I wonder if this isn't Honda cautiously sticking its toe in the water to gauge interest.

from a visual standpoint, i don't mind a well done black interior but I do have a few practical issues with darker colored interiors in general.
1) living in Atlanta, the darker interior absorbs heat rapidly - even on a nice, mild day the interior temps can jump quickly when you park the car out in the sun
2) dark fabric/carpeting shows dirt/lint/grass particles almost the instant you vacuum the car. It's nearly impossible to keep it looking clean for more than about 5 minutes. Little light colored dust particles appear out of thin air on the various dash pieces. It's very annoying.
i like the look (even though it's been done to death) of two tone interiors where you have light colored seating surfaces and trim pieces contrasting with darker parts of the interior. I really like the way the taupe interior in our new TSX wagon looks but I hate the cheap plastic "tech" trim that Acura put in the Technology models. I'm not usually a fan of fake wood but the stuff in the base TSX models looks 1000x better than the strange stuff in the tech model.

I'm super stoked about this color! It's the color of the ac-x which I have been obsessed about since it was unveiled. It actually was used in the insight concept as well. The one thing is, will it be offered with a black interior? There hasn't been a white/ebony combination for Honda for quite some time.
I also agree the interior should have two toned color variation, much like the 07 tl type s with the black and white door panels. I've actually looked to replace my wife's tl interior with the typeS but can't locate a clean set of 4. My wife is a little sad taffeta white is gone - she called it Honda white, though championship white is the true honda white. This orchid white however is a welcome surprise.

Didnt see the details/combination until now. Looks like two tone is in as is ebony! They have been listening!

Or maybe not... But the current accord's white pearl is still nice. Is it possible to custom order white orchid with ebony?

Can't wait to see the white pearl in person. To me, the variations on it have been some of the best looking colors on sedans over the last 20 years.
So, many people seem to prefer the 2 tone, light on dark interiors huh? I didn't think that was the case. Learn something new every day, I guess. To me, the light color (cloth & leather) interiors I've had were the hardest to keep clean, but I guess each has its issues.

I agree and finally they have a white pearl on the cr-v. How different is white orchid from white diamond pearl? The ac-x and insight concepts appear to have greenish hue, yet white diamond looks more cream/championship white like the type-r white.
