From solar panels, to hydrogen refueling equipment, to ASIMO human interface robots, and even aircraft, Mr. Honda KNEW his company MUST expand into these areas and others in order to be a much more horizontal business with broad name recognition and good will from the consumer base across the world.
So, the next time you think Honda should just put their heads down and focus on only one thing, believe that Mr. Honda would violently disagree with that action.
I believe you are badly mistaken. There is zero benefit to the Honda Accords as a result of building Corporate Jets.
If anything, the reverse is true, The Hondajet venture has taken valuable development dollars away from Honda Cars and given them the mess they are in today.
