We have been having an issue for some time. A CEL came on and the dealer determined that 2 of the cylinders were not firing due to bad ignition coils. Those were replaced.
The shuddering continues. We were told that the problem may be a sticking EDR valve which is inside the engine block.
Anyone else have any information on EDR valve?

How many miles on the engine?
When was the timing belt last replaced?
When were the valves last adjusted? Spark plugs last replaced?
Does the shudder come only when cruising down the road at a steady RPM, or does it shudder all the time?
Does it shudder at a specific RPM or vehicle speed range (say between 28 and 40 mph), and does it stop if you take your foot off the gas and then put it back on?
Was any work done to the vehicle recently just before the shudder started?
Unfortunately, I doubt there were two bad coil packs to begin with. If there were, your engine would barely run, check engine light would be flashing and exhaust would smell excessively rich (strong). Idiot mechanics (myself included) replace ignition coil packs because the check engine code notes a specific cylinder it thinks is misfiring, but this is almost never correct.
I have a lot of experience with your engine and engine shuddering. I'd like to help you troubleshoot this.

I have a 2003 Accord 4 cylinder and had a problem with the car shuddering when I cruise around 40mph. I replaced the engine belt and the shuddering went away. Maybe check that if it's been awhile since you replaced it. I had a 2002 Odyssey and the EGR valve had to be replaced because at highway speeds, sometimes the engine misses and it feels like the car shifted into neutral for a few seconds. No shuddering from that...just an uneasy feeling of not having control of the car. Good luck.
