But how quiet is it compared to the Buick Verano?? The supposedly quietest car on earth! lol

I know its quieter then the civic for sure.

Reading the article gives me an impression that the ILX is a good buy and worth its premium over the shit-vic. hehe!

I can't speak to the verano as I have not had the chance to drive one. I guess I have a threshold of tolerance in terms of quiet. If you get much below that, and deliver "tomb like" silence, I'm not sure I'd care much. As long as it's not too loud, that's good enough for me. In that sense, the ILX is plenty quiet.

BTW, Jeff, I agree on power seats without memory. If that's the case, just make it a manual seat! Remember the '04-'06 TSX? Hated having to waaaaiiiiiit for the seat to move from different drivers.

Alright cool thanks! Yeah tomb like silence can be very bad then you start feeling weird and might hear more rattles.

I have complained about memory-less power seats since their conception. Can't stand fiddling around and waiting for the seat to reach its destination.

+1 Jeff, great write up and very good analysis / feel. Can't wait to personally go out and try it for myself. Although the car doesn't sound like it has much to appeal to me personally, this does feel like a perfect car to ferry around a college sibling

Love the review! Seems to be a very good vehicle. I hope when the ED engines arrive, Acura will put them on the RDX and ILX pronto.

I still like the exterior of the ILX - a very good-looking vehicle. IMO there are still areas that need more styling refinement but again overall it's very nice.
