It looks like the "Concept S" is a more 'realistic' version of the 2009 design-study concept "Skydeck".
I would say the production version (next-gen Stream most likely) will end up like a combination of Euro Civic styling from the front up to the rear doors, and the Civic sedan towards the rear end, which is a good combination.

...which is exactly why I like the S.

good catch! for the record, I like this Concept S much better than the Concept C. This Concept S seems to move the bar, break a little bit of new ground (I'd lose that quad-pack blue foglight thing, or whatever, but other than that, thumbs up!). The Concept C is just bulges and creases and heavy body kit crap over too long overhangs. This Concept S looks fresh and lean.

Yep, good eye!
I like to think that if the Skydeck's CR-Z-like nose can turn into the Concept S, then perhaps the CR-Z MMC will take a similar look.
It also just this second occurred to me that the Concept S color is a lot like that Aztec Green that was so popular on the 5th gen Civic.
Whatever the case, these Chinese concepts have me excited in a way that's been missing from all of Honda's recent showings.

If Honda could bring this here and maintain the sleek, low stance without giving it the large typically undifferentiated Honda headlights, this could be a wonderful addition to the US. I agree that the CRZ needs some help. This front, proliferated to the CRZ, Fit, and Insight could be a nice familial trait so long as they resist the temptation to make the terrible 2 color bumper the Insight/Clarity has now.
Honda US's other issues that could be resolved by watching the Chinese market: 1) 'any color without color' paint choices continue. 2) the usual Honda interiors with their recent video game instruments and the typical beige or black leather we've all seen a dozen times over. If they want a come-back, they need to do things differently... so why not use some of the Chinese market inspiration?
I love this Concept S - keep it Civic+ sized, sporty, low, and dont scrimp on suspension, engine or interior and I believe you'll start to see some real traffic in the dealerships again. There's NO decent wagon choices out there is you want anything larger than a Mazda3/HondaFit (no offense to the TSX Sportwagon) and don't want a CUV. Break new ground, Honda ! and put a little boy racer in it...and maybe a 2.0L ED's engine.
